Current Role
Atiya focuses on land and urban development. Having joined us in 2019, she provides services in disposition, investment sales, repositioning, and acquisitions within the urban and urbanizing areas of San Antonio. As the City focuses its efforts on sustainable growth, Atiya is uniquely positioned as an agent to assist property owners with understanding the changes and capturing value for their land and existing buildings. Leveraging her city, planning, and real estate relationships and resources, she is the facilitator-of-choice when owners want to sell their properties or need to work with the city to develop or redevelop them.

Background
Atiya is a USAF veteran having served as an analyst and translator. Prior to joining our firm, she had a five-year career in real estate that included office, retail, and industrial tenant representation, residential sales and leasing, and apartment locating. Because Atiya values professional development, she completed graduate level education in Urban Planning and Real Estate Finance & Development while building her career. From this she gained valuable technical skills, knowledge, and experience including land use law, zoning, land planning, master planning, urban design, site selection and suitability analyses with GIS, sustainable development, affordable housing, and development feasibility. Projects included a market study of adaptive reuse for live/work lofts, development feasibility for multifamily and industrial development, and various land use plans.

Additionally, she worked as an intern at San Antonio's Development Services Department learning the local entitlement process and serves as a volunteer planning team member for the Downtown San Antonio Area and Ambassador for the city's master plan, SA Tomorrow.
